New characters and stories under construction
Among the characters revealed in the screenshots are names like Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder. All are shown in settings that suggest different lifestyles and possible connections to the main plot. Each character appears in a variety of contexts, whether in action scenes, intimate moments, or situations that reveal a little more about the city's social and criminal atmosphere.
New regions beyond Vice City
As for the environments, the images offer a new vision of Vice City, recreated in exquisite detail. But what really catches the eye are the locations beyond the city. Players will be able to explore Leonida Keys, a coastal region with a tropical climate, Mount Kalaga, a mountainous area that promises challenges and stunning views, as well as Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and other districts. These regions expand the scope for exploration and provide a glimpse into what Rockstar has called "the largest and most immersive world ever created in the franchise."
Launch has been postponed to 2026
Despite the lack of official gameplay so far, the new visual material provides valuable clues about the narrative and setting of GTA 6, which is now confirmed for release on May 26, 2026. This is a delay compared to the initial forecast, which was for the end of 2025. The game will first arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, however, the PC version does not yet have a set date.
GTA 6 is already one of the most anticipated releases of the decade

The combination of charismatic characters, diverse environments, and the series' classic provocative tone already makes the title one of the most anticipated releases of the decade. Fans can only follow each new update and theorize about what's to come, because the countdown has already begun.
