Bandai Namco Filmworks revealed the second teaser, key art, main staff, and story introduction for Gundam Build Metaverse, its 10th anniversary anime for the Gundam Build franchise

Unlike the previous Gundam series, Gundam Build, which began in 2013, this one is based on “Gunpla Battles,” a fictional simulation competition using real-life Gunpla models sold by Bandai.

Gundam Build Metaverse will be produced as part of Bandai Namco Group's “Gundam Metaverse Project”, which includes “Gunpla Colony”, a virtual space colony with anime-themed sections: Gunpla, e-sports, music, etc. The three-episode series will air on the Gundam franchise's official YouTube channel, GUNDAM.INFO., in October 2023. Acclaimed anime director and designer Masami Obari (Gravion) is leading the project.
Synopsis
A new Internet service has been born in the world of Gunpla. Within the Metaverse realm, the user can control their own avatar, interact with other users, play Gunpla Battle, and purchase real Gunpla. Rio Hojo is a boy who immersed himself in this new world. He studied real-world Gunpla building techniques together with Seria Urutuski and absorbed Gunpla Battle knowledge from Mask Lady in the Metaverse world and has been improving his skills day by day. After completing his own original Gunpla, the Lah Gundam, Rio meets some previous Gunpla Battle champions in the Metaverse realm.
