The wait is over! Bandai Namco Filmworks Mobile Suit Gundam franchise film , Hathaway's Flash – Kirke no Majo ( Kidou Senshi Gundam Senkou no hathaway ), will premiere in Japanese theaters on January 30, 2026. The film has received a new trailer and key visual , promising emotions and moral dilemmas among its protagonists.
The trailer reveals the emotional weight of Hathaway Hiroyuki Sawano 's soundtrack returns to further heighten the intensity of the battles and internal conflicts.
The story follows Hathaway Noa , leader of the anti-Earth movement known as Mafty . While trying to fulfill his mission, he finds himself torn between his ideals and his feelings for the mysterious Gigi Andalucia , a young woman with enigmatic powers. At the same time, Colonel Kenneth Sleg prepares to eliminate the Mafty group, intertwining the destinies of the three characters in a high-tension human and political drama.
Cast and backstage information confirmed
Actors Kensho Ono (Hathaway) , Reina Ueda (Gigi) , and Junichi Suwabe (Kenneth) commented on returning to their roles, highlighting the characters' growth and the emotional impact of this new phase.
The series is directed by Shuko Murase , with a screenplay by Yasuyuki Mutou and mecha designs by Hajime Katoki and Kimitoshi Yamane .

Alongside the announcement, the GUNDAM Official Website was redesigned, bringing together all the franchise's series in one place. To celebrate, Bandai launched the "Gundam Global Election 2025" , allowing fans worldwide to vote for their favorite characters and works.
Finally, the film will be shown in 365 cinemas in Japan and will also have an international release , consolidating yet another epic phase of the saga.
