It was revealed on the official Twitter Gurren Lagann films theatrical release by Studio Trigger in celebration of their 15th anniversary. In the announcement, we can see the first trailer announced in 4K.

Therefore, the first film will premiere in 2D in Japan on August 25th and in 4D on October 6th. The second film will premiere in 2D in Japan on September 22nd and in 4D on October 20th. Both films will premiere in North America in 4D this winter and in Taiwan in 2D and 4D in October.
Synopsis:
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is part of a fictional future in which humans have been forced to live beneath the Earth's surface in isolated underground civilizations. These “villages” have no contact with the surface or other villages. Due to frequent earthquakes, villages tend to constantly extend into the depths of the Earth and those responsible for this task are known as “excavators”.
Trigger studio will release both films on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on September 27, 2023.
