It was revealed by the official Twitter that the Gurren Lagann will have a new theatrical by Studio Trigger in celebration of its 15th anniversary. In the announcement, we can check out the first trailer announced in 4K.

Therefore, the first film will open in 2D in Japan on August 25th and in 4D on October 6th. The second film will open in 2D in Japan on September 22nd and in 4D on October 20th. Both films will open in North America in 4D this winter and in Taiwan in 2D and 4D in October.
Synopsis:
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is set in a fictional future where humans have been forced to live beneath the Earth's surface in isolated subterranean civilizations. These "villages" have no contact with the surface or other villages. Due to frequent earthquakes, the villages tend to constantly expand deeper into the Earth; those responsible for this task are known as "diggers."
Trigger will release both films on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on September 27, 2023 .
