Issue 18 of Shueisha in Japan announced that a game set in the world of the anime Haikyu!! has been greenlit and will happen.

Namco Bandai Games will develop the game for the Nintendo 3DS handheld, and its release in Japan is scheduled for this year. The magazine informs readers that more details will be revealed in the future.

The game will allow players to experience the world of Haikyu! in two ways: Adventure Mode and Game Mode. In Adventure Mode, depending on the character the player chooses as the main character, the story may differ from the manga and anime, as the game will include new plot points.
