This year, the monthly magazine Shonen Jump is announcing that "Haikyuu!!", a manga by author Haruichi Furudate, will be released as a film compilation, meaning all episodes of the first season will be edited into one feature film. The film is part of the "Haikyu!! Itadaki Project 2015," which will soon have more news to share.
Production IG will return to the project and also to oversee the second season. The anime premiered in April of last year and is currently streaming the series on the paid channel Crunchyroll, since it aired in Japan.
