Haikyu!! will receive a new one-shot manga

Weekly Shonen Jump magazine , published by Shueisha , revealed that author Haruichi Furudate will create a new one-shot for the Haikyu!! manga, which Shueisha will publish in the magazine's tenth issue on February 5th.

The 16-page chapter will feature a color page and will celebrate the upcoming Gekijōban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen . The chapter will present a "different perspective" on the confrontation between Karasuno High and Nekoma High .

Furudate launched the original Haikyu!! manga in 2011 and ended the series in July 2020. Shueisha published the 45th and final volume of the manga in November 2020.

Synopsis

Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama are two boys fascinated by volleyball. The difference is that Kageyama is a talented setter, and Hinata is a short attacker for a player. The two meet during the first round of the qualifying stage for the National tournament and end up becoming great rivals. By a twist of fate, they will have to join forces to join the Karasuno High School volleyball club and keep their dream of continuing to play volleyball alive.

The first anime adaptation of the manga by Production I.G premiered in April 2014. The second season of the anime premiered in October 2015, and the third season premiered in October 2016. The first half of Haikyu!! To The Top , the fourth season, premiered in January 2020, and episode 13 aired in April 2020. The second half, consisting of episodes 14 to 25, was originally planned to premiere in July 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the second half premiered in October 2020.
