The official website for the anime Otomate's Hakuouki otome game franchise has revealed a promotional video , voice actors , staff , premiere date , theme song artists , and finally a new image showcasing the visual style .

There will be a total of 3 OVA episodes of Hakuouki, which will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 24, 2021, January 28, 2022, and February 25, 2022, respectively. All three parts will also be streamed exclusively on the U-NEXT service in Japan on November 13, December 11, and January 29.
