Hana to Okutan – Manga will enter its final arc

The latest issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits revealed that manga will enter its final arc in the magazine's next issue on June 3.

The manga is set in the aftermath of a giant flower that appears in Tokyo, altering most of the city's functions and rendering it abandoned. In the ruined city, a woman goes about her daily life of survival while waiting for her husband to return.

Takahashi launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits in 2007 as an irregular serialization. The manga began publishing weekly last November. Shogakukan published the manga's second compiled volume in 2013.

Takahashi recently finished his Kanata Kakeru manga last September, and also revealed at the same time that he will release a new work about the ekiden university race in 2019. He recently released another manga titled Kami o Kiri ni Kimashita (I've Come to Cut Your Hair) in Hakusensha's Melody magazine on April 27.

Among Takahashi's other works are Iihito, Saishū Heiki Kanojo Another World, Yuki ni Tsubasa and Hatsukoi Honya.
