The official website for the original Hanaroku – A New Dawn ( Hanarokushou ga Akeru Hi ni ) film has revealed a new trailer and release date. The animation is by Studio Outrigger .

Therefore, the animated film will premiere on March 6, 2026. The film was delayed in May of this year.

Synopsis of A New Dawn:

"Fireworks cut through the universe." The Obinata Fireworks Factory boasts 330 years of tradition, but is about to be forcibly evicted. Keitarou has been there for 4 years, dedicating himself to making fireworks, and focused on finishing the "Shuhari" or "Ghost Fireworks," a creation of his father, who disappeared years ago. His childhood friend Kaoro moved to Tokyo after a past incident, but is now back in the city to visit him. Together they devise a plan to uncover the secret of the lost firework, the "Hana Rokusho," and the key to the mystery is a pigment called "Paris Green.".

The film is a joint production between ASMIK Ace (3-gatsu no Lion) and the French studio Miyu Productions (Ghost Cat Anzu). Live-action actors Riku Hagiwara and Kotone Furukawa would be making their voice acting debut as the main characters, Keitaro Tatewaki and Kaoru Shikimori, respectively.
