The official website for the adaptation of author Sou Hamayumiba, Hanayamata has released a new promotional video. The video features the opening theme song " Hana Odore ya Iro wa Niho " performed by the 's voice cast . The series will premiere on TV Tokyo on July 8th.

Ishizuka ( The Girl Pet of Sakurasou , No Game, No Life) is directing the anime at studio MADHOUSE . Reiko Yoshida ( K-ON!, Girls und Panzer, Tamako Market ) is writing and supervising the scripts, and Atsuko Watanabe ( GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, Juden Chan, The Everyday Tales of a Cat God ) is designing the characters.
The story revolves around Naru , who leads everyday life , even though she loves " heroines." She embarks on a path to an unordinary world called " Yosakoi" dance guided by a girl she met one night .
