The official website for the anime adaptation of Sou Hamayumiba's novel, Hanayamata, has released a new promotional video. The video features the opening theme song " Hana Odore ya Iro wa Niho " performed by the 's voice cast . The series will premiere on TV Tokyo on July 8th.

Ishizuka ( The Girl Pet de Sakurasou , No Game, No Life) is directing the anime at studio MADHOUSE . Reiko Yoshida ( K-ON!, Girls und Panzer, Tamako Market) is writing and supervising the scripts, and Atsuko Watanabe ( GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, Juden Chan, The Everyday Tales of a Cat God ) is designing the characters.
The story revolves around Naru , who leads , everyday life , even though she adores " heroines." She embarks on a journey to an extraordinary world called " Yosakoi" dance guided by a girl she met one night .
