The novel HaruChika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru will get a live-action adaptation. Shori Sato (One Piece) will star as Haruta, while Kanna Hashimoto (seen above) of the group Rev. will star as Chika. The film will run on the concept of mystery according to the news seen on ANN .
Masahide Ichii is directing. The film begins principal photography in April, with a release date scheduled for 2017.
The animated TV series arrived on January 6 in Japan, the story follows two childhood friends Haruta Kamijou and Chika Homura who are members of their school's wind instrument club, which is about to close due to lack of members. Spending most of their time practicing while trying to recruit new classmates, one day an incident occurs within the school limits, and the two will team up to solve this case.
