The official Twitter account for the anime Hataraku Saibou Black (Cells at Work! Code Black) has released a full promotional video revealing more cast and staff.
The Hataraku Saibou spinoff, inspired by the manga by Shigemitsu Harada and Issei Hatsuyoshiya, will take a different approach, showcasing the more courageous side of the tasks our cells perform.
Synopsis
Alcohol, cigarettes, and stress – in a body subjected to these irritants, the cells responsible for maintaining life fight an endless war. Due to a severe worker shortage, the red blood cell AA2153 needs to quickly learn how to deliver oxygen and collect carbon dioxide even in dangerous situations. Meanwhile, the white blood cell U-1196 does its part dealing with germs and viruses during life-or-death situations. In the midst of this crisis, they must work together to keep the body healthy, despite not knowing if their sacrifices will be worthwhile.

Hideyo Yamamoto is directing the anime at Liden Films . Hayashi Mori is supervising and writing the script. Eiji Abiko is doing the character design. Yuugo Kanno is composing the soundtrack.
Finally, Harada and Hatsuyoshi launched the manga Hataraku Saibou Black in Morning and the digital magazine Weekly D Morning in June 2018. Kodansha published the manga's third volume in January.
Furthermore, the first anime inspired by the original manga premiered in July 2018 and consisted of 13 episodes. Moreover, the second season of Hataraku Saibou is scheduled to premiere in January 2021.
