Sega announced this Tuesday that it is developing a new game in the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva series, titled Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega39's (pronounced “megamix”) for the Nintendo Switch. The game will be released in early 2020. The game celebrates the 10th anniversary of the series.
The game will have 101 songs, which will include songs from the series' history, as well as new songs. The game will also feature 300 costumes. The new songs will be available as downloadable content for the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX PlayStation 4 games.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone is the latest main game in the series, and was released in the Americas and Europe in January 2017.
The game debuted in Japan in June 2016 as one of the main Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade games for the PS4. Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX is a re-release of the game that includes all DLC. It was released for the PS4 in Japan in November 2017.
