HBO Max is updating its catalog and will include animes such as: The Promised Neverland , Inuyasha , Mob Psycho 100 , Madoka Magica and Aldnoah.Zero .
The fight between 'streaming' is just beginning, especially in the anime market.
Therefore, the HBO Max service was launched on May 27th. Crunchyroll more in June, making sure that every quarter, new anime will arrive on the service.
HBO Max is also streaming the entire “ Studio Ghibli ” of 21 GKIDS feature films. According to the platform, it will be the first time that Studio Ghibli films are being streamed on any platform. Spirited Away, Totoro, Princess Mononoke, The Animated Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, Castle in the Sky, The Tale of Princess Kaguya and other films debut at launch.
Cartoon Network , Adult Swim and Rooster Teeth are also offering content through the service.
The HBO Max streaming service costs around $14.99 per month in the US. The service will eventually offer around 10,000 hours of content. It features content from other WarnerMedia brands such as Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies and Looney Tunes.
