Kadokawa has revealed the first teaser and promotional image for the anime Hello, I Am a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion!,an adaptation of the light novel written by Eiko Mutsuhana and illustrated by Vient. The video confirmed the main cast members, production team, and the premiere date set for October 2026.

The romance begins with an unexpected potion
The story follows Rose, known as the Witch of the Lake, who has harbored feelings for the royal knight Harij for years. However, her passion suffers a harsh blow when the young man appears only to ask for a love potion. In an attempt to prolong their contact, Rose sends Harij in search of rare ingredients, but the situation takes a curious turn when he begins to visit her daily.
Mikako Komatsu will voice the protagonist Rose, while Yōhei Azakami will play Harij. The anime will be directed by Keizō Kusakawa at studio diomedéa, with script supervision by Wataru Watari and character design by Masakazu Ishikawa.

The light novel was adapted into a manga and now it's coming to anime
The work was originally published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō between 2019 and 2020. Subsequently, the publisher Futabasha released the print version in two volumes. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Kamada, remains available through ComicWalker .
Blending romantic fantasy and comedy, the series presents the relationship between a reclusive witch and a disciplined knight, whose connection begins because of a simple love potion.
