Hunter x Hunter Manga Goes on Another Hiatus

The manga Hunter x Hunter, by Yoshihiro Togashi, has gone on hiatus again with no return date set, while a new stage play has been announced. The news surfaced in issue 41 of Weekly Shonen Jump. The series had resumed serialization on June 29, but Shueisha will now announce its return at a later date.
Meanwhile, the franchise will get its fourth stage adaptation, titled Hunter X Hunter The Stage 4. The play will be based on the Chimera Ants arc and will have two parts. The first will run between January and February 2027, while the second will arrive between July and August of the same year. Performances will take place in Tokyo and Kyoto.

Manga surpasses 100 million copies
The series also surpassed 100 million copies in circulation, including both print and digital editions. Volume 39 debuted in July, marking the first new volume in 22 months.
Hunter x Hunter began publication in 1998 and has gone on several hiatuses over the years. In 2023, Shueisha confirmed that the series would no longer follow a weekly schedule due to Togashi's health issues.
