This year, issue 41 of Shonen Jump magazine Shueisha announced on Monday that Hunter × Hunter, a manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, will continue its hiatus due to the author's "back pain."
The manga will not be featured in the next issue on September 13th, and the return date for the series has not yet been decided. Once chosen, the date will appear on the back cover of the magazine's latest issue.
The staff also notes that in order to restart the manga as soon as possible, Togashi's treatment has been accelerated.
The manga has inspired two anime versions; the most recent has been running since 2011, but this will end with episode 148 on September 23. The manga has also inspired two films and several OVAs (Original Video Animations).
