Arc System Works and Bushiroad Games released this Thursday (29), the demo of Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact for PC, a game based on the work of Yoshihiro Togashi. Developed by Arc System Works in partnership with Bushiroad Games, the title features 3-on-3 team combat and promises intense action for fans of the anime. The initial version will include six playable characters and modes that allow you to experience both the battle and training systems.
The companies will distribute the free demo via Steam ahead of the full game's official release, scheduled for July 17th. According to the developers, the goal is to provide a solid preview of the gameplay, which blends fast-paced action and strategies based on the use of Nen techniques. The development team is also preparing a PlayStation 5 version, but a release date has not yet been set.
Demo includes classic characters and training and battle modes
The demo version will feature Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Hisoka, and Netero. These characters represent different fighting styles and categories of the series' trademark Nen system. Each possesses unique abilities that, combined with other fighters, create unique strategies for winning battles.
Available modes include direct battles against AI or other players, as well as a training area where you can test your moves, combos, and special moves. This structure aims to appeal to both beginners and veterans of competitive fighting games.
Team gameplay promises intense, tactical combat
The combat system creates teams of three characters and requires the player to tactically choose their ideal formation. The mechanics of switching characters during combat and the coordinated use of abilities should favor well-balanced teams. Teamwork will be crucial in determining the winner of the matches.
Additionally, the game will feature visual elements that recreate memorable scenes from the anime. The aesthetic fidelity and original soundtrack promise to enrich the experience for those who have followed the series for years. However, even in the demo, the 2D anime-style graphics already stand out for their quality and fluidity.
Official launch takes place in July with expanded content
The full version of Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact arrives on July 17th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. It will feature new characters, more stages, a story mode, and online ranked matches. This will see more classic fighters from the franchise join the roster, expanding the possibilities for team play.
The story mode will be based on manga arcs and recreate iconic moments from the series in playable stages. Additionally, there will be a replay system for studying previous fights and a tutorial area focused on technically learning the controls and mechanics. According to the developers, the additional content should make the game appealing to both casual and competitive fans.
