The Silver Mine is connected to the story of the feature film One Piece Film Gold , which premieres in Japan on July 23rd in 743 Japanese cinemas. Its premiere is scheduled for June 26th, preceding the Zou arc, which will continue the story of Eiichiro Oda .

“When Luffy and some of his companions sail on Bartolomeo's boat to Zou, they are attacked during the night by a pirate named Desire and the crew of her Battle Boat. She is part of the Silver Pirate Alliance, led by Bill, user of the 'Gutsu-Gustsu' fruit, capable of forging and using various weapons. As a result, Luffy and Bartolomeo are kidnapped and taken to Silver Mine, an island that serves as a stronghold for Alliance villains. The plot will show how the two will try to escape and return to their crews. Desire has a certain connection to Bartolomeo's past, and Bill, who can manipulate silver, is linked to 'Gold Emperor' Gild Tesoro, the villain of One Piece Film Gold.”
