The official Twitter Kazue Katou 's Blue Exorcist manga announced Monday that the manga will go on hiatus and will not publish new chapters in the upcoming March and April issues of Shueisha 's Jump SQ .

The manga plans to resume in the May issue of the magazine, which will launch in April.
Kazue Katou launched the manga in Jump SQ in 2009. The manga went on hiatus in July 2021 and resumed in May 2022. The manga's 28th volume was released in November 2022. Ao no Exorcist has over 25 million copies in circulation.
Synopsis
The protagonist is a boy named Okumura Rin, who carries the blood of a demon within him. Suddenly, the demon Satan appears before him, claiming to be his father and planning to take him to his world. At that moment, Rin's adoptive father, a famous exorcist, risks his life to save him and ends up dying. Blaming his own weakness, Rin decides to join the Knights Templar College and is now determined to become an exorcist.
Ao no Exorcist gained a then 25-episode anime in 2011, and an OVA that premiered in 2011. A second season that was therefore titled “ Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen ” premiered in 2017 and aired for a total of 12 episodes.
Furthermore, the franchise received the announcement of a new anime season in December.
