Netflix released a new behind-the-scenes video of One Piece , featuring Iñaki Godoy meeting Mayumi Tanaka , the original voice of Monkey D. Luffy in the anime. So, we practically have a meeting of two Luffys.

While Iñaki Godoy was traveling through Japan, he had the opportunity to meet the illustrious Mayumi Tanaka, who has been the voice of Luffy since 1999. Godoy showed great excitement and gratitude for meeting the voice actress. Furthermore, in Japan, the original voice cast of the anime will be responsible for dubbing the live-action series. So Tanaka will also be voicing Godoy in the Japanese version of One Piece.
Finally, the main cast of the series includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu Arata as Zoro, Jacob Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Emily Rudd as Nami. The series will premiere on August 31st on Netflix.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a body made of rubber after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (Rubber Fruit). Inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Shanks the Red-Haired, Luffy decided to become a pirate and sail the seas to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the King of the Pirates.
