The anime Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy had a promotional video released for Nintendo 3DS, in both the Big Bang and Supernova versions. The video explains that the International Football Frontier V2 tournament was just the beginning. Visitors from outer space are coming to visit, and Mamoru and his team are Earth's only remaining hope.

The game produced by Level-5 is based on the anime TV Inazuma Eleven GO, which had a sequel, a film and a crossover, Inazuma Eleven Go vs Danbōru Senki W that premiered in December 2012. Both the Big Bang and Supernova versions of the game will be released in Japan this winter for the Nintendo 3DS .
