The anime Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy had a promotional video released for Nintendo 3DS, in the 'Big Bang' and 'Supernova' versions. The video states that the International Football Frontier of the V2 tournament was just the beginning. Visitors from outer space are coming to visit, and Mamoru and his team are Earth's only remaining hope.

The game, produced by Level-5 anime TV series , which had a sequel, a movie, and a crossover, Inazuma Eleven Go vs Danbōru Senki W, which premiered in December 2012. Both the Big Bang and Supernova versions of the game will be released in Japan this winter for the Nintendo 3DS .
