The information leaked during Kana Hanazawa Live 2013. Charlotte Dunois's voice actress said she will also be starring in the second season of the anime Infinite Stratos. So far, nothing has been made official, but why would a voice actress lie?

After a major dispute between author Izuru Yumizuru and publisher Media Factory, which caused the entire project to be put on hold for a long time, a major reboot plan was announced in early 2013. This includes the release of Volume 8 by the new publisher OVERLAP on April 25, 2013 [and the re-release of the previous ones] and an All-Night-Festival on April 20, 2013, which includes the screening of several episodes from the First Season plus a panel featuring several voice actors – in other words, the perfect time to announce a sequel.

Synopsis: In the near future, a Japanese scientist creates a powerful exoskeleton mecha called Infinite Stratos (IS). It possesses technology and combat capabilities far more advanced than any other weapons system. The IS threatens to destabilize the world. Faced with this reality, the nations of the world unite and create the "Alaska Treaty," which essentially stipulates that ISs will never be used for military purposes and that the technology must be shared among all nations. However, the scientist refuses to share her creation, evidently fearing disaster. Because of this, she lives on the run, and the world has only 467 ISs. The introduction of the IS into society has a devastating impact; since they can only be operated by women, the balance of power between men and women is disrupted, and women begin to dominate society over men.

Ten years after the first ISs were introduced, the world entered a new era of peace, shattered by the discovery of a 15-year-old Japanese boy capable of operating an IS, Ichika Orimura. Recognizing his potential, the Japanese government forces him into the prestigious Infinite Stratos Academy, a facility where pilots representing all nations are trained. Thus, his school life, despite being rigorous, is surrounded by women from all over the world.
