Isekai Yakkyoku – Light Novel Gets Anime Adaptation

Liz Takayama 's light novel Isekai Yakkyoku about a modern pharmacologist in another world is getting an anime adaptation.

Synopsis

The story revolves around a young pharmacologist who was so focused on his research that he died from overwork. He was transported to an alternate world and reincarnated as Pharma, the descendant of a noble line of court healers. In this world where medicines and false cures abound, he battles all manner of illnesses to save lives, thanks to his in-depth knowledge of modern pharmacology from his past life.

The Isekai anime has already been greenlit, but beyond the visuals, it hasn't yet revealed a studio or production number. Additionally, an official website and Twitter account have been launched.

Finally, Takayama released the light novel Isekai Yakkyoku on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2016. Kadokawa's MF Books imprint has so far published seven volumes of the light novel with illustrations by keepout, and will publish the eighth volume on July 21. Sei Takano has been serializing a manga adaptation in Kadokawa since November 2016. The franchise has 2.3 million copies in circulation.
