Isekai Yakkyoku – Light Novel gets anime adaptation

Liz Takayama 's Isekai Yakkyoku light novel about a modern pharmacologist in another world is getting an anime adaptation.

Synopsis

The story revolves around a young pharmacologist who was so focused on his research that he died from overwork. He was transported to an alternate world and reincarnated as Pharma, the descendant in a noble lineage of court healers. In this world where wrong medicines and cures are abundant, he faces all kinds of illnesses to save lives, thanks to his in-depth knowledge of modern pharmacology from his past life.

The Isekai anime has already been greenlit, but beyond the visuals it has not yet revealed a studio or production. Furthermore, an official website and a Twitter account were opened.

Finally, Takayama released the Isekai Yakkyoku light novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2016. Kadokawa's MF Books imprint has so far published seven volumes of the light novel with illustrations by keepout, and will publish the eighth volume on July 21. Sei Takano has been serializing a manga adaptation in Kadokawa since November 2016. The franchise has 2.3 million copies in circulation.
