The official website for Isshuukan Friends (One Week Friends) has released a new promotional video for the series, an adaptation of Matcha Hazuki . The anime, which will premiere on April 6th, features two versions narrated by the protagonists in the video.
The manga created by Matcha Hazuki has been published by Square Enix since January 2012, and currently has 4 collected volumes.
Tarou Iwasaki will direct the series at Brains Base (D-Fragments, Nastsume's Book of Friends, Baccano!). Shôtarô Suga (The Eccentric Family, Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is writing the scripts, and Eri Yamazaki is handling the character designs.
Synopsis – The story revolves around Yuuki , a boy who wants to become friends with his classmate who sits next to him at school, Kaori . However, she gently declines his friendship, saying, “But, my… My memories of my friends disappear in a week…” Even so, Yuuki wants to become her friend, and so the two become friends again and again as the weeks go by.
