Japan — According to the 2014 report published by the Association of Japanese Animations (AJA), it shows the total market value of anime in Japan. The data shows that compared to 2013, the industry earned 1.63 trillion yen, representing a 10% increase compared to 1.49 trillion yen in 2013.

The news highlights the importance of marketing campaigns and direct streaming sales to China, as well as exhibitions at events such as concerts and plays.

Since the 2009 report was published, the anime industry in Japan has been in decline.
