Japan — According to the 2014 report published by the Association of Japanese Animations (AJA), it shows the total market value of anime there in Japan. The data shows that compared to 2013, the industry earned 1.63 trillion yen, meaning an increase of 10 % compared to 1.49 trillion yen in 2013.
The news highlights the importance of marketing campaigns and direct streaming sales to China and also exhibitions at events such as concerts and plays.
Since the report was published in 2009, the anime industry in Japan has been in decline.
