Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata 's work was a sales phenomenon in Japan and ended up exploding worldwide, becoming an instant success in Germany, France, Italy, the USA, and other countries. The series was published in Brazil in tankobon format by Editora JBC in 2007, winning over the public, and now returns in a new format that will please fans and those who have never read this manga. The publication of Black Edition aims to cater to a little-explored segment of the national manga market: collectors. Therefore, this very special edition will be launched in bookstores and specialized shops. In six deluxe editions comprising two tankobon volumes, with an average of 450 pages, Death Note BE will come with eight color pages at the beginning of the edition, special paper, varnished cover and differentiated finish, in addition to a revised translation. All this makes Black Edition an indispensable item for any collection.
History
Chance leads student Light Yagami to acquire a mysterious black notebook bearing the words "Death Note." He quickly realizes the incredible power of the object: by writing the name of anyone he chooses in it, that person is killed!
The son of the city's police chief and possessing a strong sense of justice, the young man decides to use the notebook to punish those who harm society and begins writing the names of criminals in it. The deaths of so many people attract the attention of the authorities, and, in an extreme measure, the great detective L is hired to solve the case. Will the astute L be able to solve this mystery? How will Light deal with this opposition to his crusade for justice? Twists and turns and plenty of suspense are part of this fantastic story.
Death Note – Black Edition is expected to arrive in bookstores and specialty shops in the first half of the year, in a deluxe format, with special paper, 8 color pages, priced at R$39.90 and released monthly (since it is intended for specialty shops, the manga will not be withdrawn even when new volumes arrive).
