The seventh volume of the light novel included an announcement Jinsei (La Bonne Vie) from author Ougyo Kawagishi, confirming that an anime adaptation is in production and will premiere in July.
The production of an anime and a manga adaptation were announced in the sixth volume. Kawagishi launched the light novel with illustrations by Meruchi Nanase in 2012.
The story revolves around Yuki Akamatsu, a boy who joins the Crino Endo school newspaper, liberal arts representative Fumi Kujo, and physical education representative Ikumi Suzuki – they solicit answers from students about what's bothering them. The school editor-in-chief, Ayaka Nikaido, immediately puts him in the life advice column (jinsei). Three girls represent science.
