Warner Bros. Japan announced during a stage presentation at the AnimeJapan 2022 that the anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will have a second part, consisting of episodes 13-24, which will premiere this fall on Netflix worldwide. The anime will also air on Japanese television this year.

Netflix premiered the first 12 episodes of the anime globally on December 1st. The series also aired in Japan in January.
David Production the series. Kenichi Suzuki returns from parts 1-3 as chief director, while Toshiyuki Kato serves as director. Yasuko Kobayashi returns from the previous anime to handle series composition, and Masanori Shino serves as character designer. Shun'ichi Ishimoto serves as the "Stands" designer. Yoshikazu Iwanami returns as sound director, and Yuugo Kanno returns from parts 3-5 as composer.

Synopsis
Florida, 2011. Jolyne Cujoh, Jotaro's daughter, is accused of a crime she didn't commit and ends up in a maximum-security prison. Just as she's ready to accept her situation, her father sends her a gift that awakens Jolyne's Stand, Stone Free. Now armed with the power to change fate, Jolyne tries to find a way to escape the ocean of stone that surrounds her. However, she soon discovers that her imprisonment is just a small part of a larger scheme, which not only targets her family but also has consequences for much more. Worse still: the person behind it all is incarcerated in the same prison as Jolyne and protected by several Stand users. After meeting unexpected allies, Jolyne begins her journey to stop the plot, clear her name, and get her life back on track.
The Stone Ocean arc of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga ran from 1999 to 2003, and has 17 volumes, consisting of volumes 64 to 80 of the work.
