As everyone knows, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime gained prominence after its incredible first season, resulting in fans placing a high value on the series' quality. That said, episode 14 of the second season received harsh criticism for its animation, leading the episode's director, Hokuto Sadamoto , to apologize.

At the premiere of Thursday's episode (26), Hokuto said on Twitter apologizing for the material in episode 14 of the second season. In addition, he commented that the short period for delivering the animation was one of the factors for the negative result.

“Even before I accepted the contract, I was repeatedly told I didn't have time, so I thought, 'Let's save energy…', and that's my responsibility. […]

Not everyone is as trash as me, so I know everyone's sympathy and encouragement must come from the bottom of their hearts. But right after releasing something I'm not happy with, that kind of reaction backfires, so for now, I just... want to be given a break. I'll make up for it in my future work. Until then, I'll live my life as the worst animator who ruined a masterpiece.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Episode 14. However, a leak revealed his role in the production.

"I did work that no one would appreciate, and I'm sure I'll continue to do so. I'm sorry. I was angry about the leak, but I was just a coward because I tried to run away, pretending I wouldn't get credit. I'm sorry."
