The ending of the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271 delivered a special message that went unnoticed by most fans. After the controversial ending of the battle, many focused on the characters' fate, but few noticed an important detail on the last page.

At the end of the manga, we see a panel with Sukuna 's finger sealed in a small cabin. What many didn't realize is that there's a message written on the box where the finger is kept:

"Against vengeful and malevolent threats.".

This phrase, unfortunately, was lost in translation, but it carries great hidden symbolism for the story.

Throughout the manga, Sukuna 's finger was used as a kind of amulet to protect certain areas from curses, and the ending shows that, even after his second death, the finger continues to serve as a form of protection. Despite his evil nature, Sukuna was, for centuries, a means of protection against threats, and this did not change with his end.

An attentive fan shared this message on Twitter/X, and the revelation quickly spread throughout the community. One reader commented:

"So the finger turned into a talisman, and now, instead of attracting curses, it wards them off? Even more so since the sanctuary is open and the atmosphere is calm and serene."

Another fan added:

"If I'm not mistaken, the symbolism of a slightly open sanctuary or spiritual vessel indicates that the spirit is moving to another dimension."

A third fan even checked the first chapter to see what was written on the box where Megumi found the finger, and the kanji was the same. The difference now is that this is the last finger, and Sukuna seems ready to follow a different path, suggesting that things might actually change.

Finally, the Jujutsu Kaisen 271 came to an end this week, but there are already speculations about a part 2. Also, stay tuned to AnimeNews for more news about Jujutsu Kaisen.
