Gege Akutami , the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen , is enjoying a quieter period after the manga in 2024. However, the artist remains active and surprised fans by releasing exclusive art for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure .
- Secret to defeating the Orchestrator is hinted at in Dandadan
- The Beginning After the End Ep. 8: Arthur's return
In the upcoming JoJo Magazine 2025 Summer , Akutami lends his talents to illustrate Kishibe Rohan , one of the franchise's most iconic characters. Furthermore, the author shared his admiration for Part 4, Diamond Is Unbreakable , noting: " I like the refreshing realism of Part 4 compared to the previous ones. I think Josuke's line to Okuyasu sums it up well: 'I thought you didn't have to die. '"
Other mangakas participate in the tribute
It's not uncommon to see great artists paying homage to the work of their peers. After all, Eiichiro Oda has designed Dragon Ball , while Hirohiko Araki illustrated ninjas for Naruto . Similarly, Kohei Horikoshi also created art for Jujutsu Kaisen .
This time, in addition to Akutami, other manga artists contributed to the special publication. Among them are Chica Umino ( March Comes In Like A Lion ), Bkub Okawa ( Pop Team Epic ), Shiwasu Hoshikawa ( Bungo Stray Dogs ), Aki Mochida ( A Story To Read When You First Fall in Love ) and Yajima ( The Old Man Who Was Reincarnated as a Cat ).
JoJo's Bizarre spin-off Kishibe Rohan hits Japanese theaters
Meanwhile, Kishibe Rohan is gaining even more prominence with the live-action film Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: Confessional , which adapts one of his most sinister adventures. While the film is unlikely to hit Western theaters, it should eventually be available, as was the case with the TV series.
Finally, fans are also eagerly awaiting the premiere of the anime JoJo's Bizarre Steel Ball Run , which has already been confirmed, though no release date has been set yet. So stay tuned, as there's plenty of news about the world of Stands and curses to come!
