After a long wait, Jujutsu Kaisen has finally returned with a new season, following up on the adaptation of Gege Akutami . It seems many fans were pleased with the first episode of the anime's second season, so the series creator took the opportunity to say he's also excited about its return.

In a recent comment, Gege Akutami expressed his satisfaction with Shota Goshozono of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Based on the first season and the film, the mangaka believes the anime will return with great quality and impress fans.
Director Goshozono is from the same generation and has a similar sensibility to mine. I feel like he has the same goal in mind as I do. I can feel his determination to make [the anime] even better based on its first season and movie, so I'm already very satisfied with it, even though it hasn't aired yet. I hope a lot of people watch the anime season, especially if you don't know much about the manga.
Furthermore, Akutami also expressed his gratitude to the animation team after watching the first episode of Season 2.
"Congratulations and thanks to all the staff members who worked on the first episode of the second season. It was incredible to see how the anime aligned and added cool scenes and effects. The author couldn't feel more blessed."
Synopsis:
The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight curses—evil beings that haunt the living world. So, to protect his friends and the innocent, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a student-in-training under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.
The anime's first season premiered in October 2020 and consisted of 24 episodes, animated by MAPPA . The studio also produced the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 , which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
