Jujutsu Kaisen fans are aware that the team behind the anime is currently under a lot of pressure due to tight schedules. Furthermore, the crisis became more evident when Hokuto Sadamoto apologized for the quality of episode 14. However, Akutami says in his message that he loved the animators' work and hopes they will be properly reimbursed.

"Thank you, episode fourteen of season two!! When the animation (in this case, the sketching, the timing, and the drawings themselves) is ridiculously good, I really laugh. I hope that the people who worked so hard on this whole experience and this anime get more and more compensation… that's all I have to say!!"

Synopsis:

Since Yuji Itadori, a high school student, became involved with the secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, he has been training to confront curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. Therefore, to protect his friends and innocent people, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a trainee under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes animated by studio MAPPA. Later, the studio also handled the animation for the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
