The official Twitter Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that the Jujutsu Kaisen manga will return in the 35th issue this year, which will be released on August 2nd. The manga went on hiatus in the 29th issue , released on June 21st, due to some health problems of the author.
Author Gege Akutami previously stated that the manga's hiatus would be around a month and assured fans that the health issue was not serious.
Synopsis
Suffering, regret, shame: negative human emotions become Curses, causing terrible accidents that can even lead to death. And to make matters worse, Curses can only be exorcised by other Curses. One day, to save friends who were being attacked by Curses, Yuji Itadori swallows Ryomen-Sukuna's finger, absorbing his Curse. He then decides to enroll in the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, an organization that fights Curses… and thus begins the heroic legend of the boy who became a Curse to exorcise a Curse.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga launched in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. The publisher released the manga's 16th volume on June 4th. It's worth noting that the manga already has over 50 million copies in circulation.
