Jujutsu Kaisen manga surpasses 40 million copies in circulation

Publisher Shueisha reported Wednesday that author Gege Akutami Jujutsu Kaisen manga now has more than 40 million copies in circulation, including print and digital copies, as well as unsold copies.

The manga's circulation has increased by 470% since the debut of its anime .

The manga had:

-8.5 million in early October
-10 million on October 29
-15 million on December 16
-20 million on January 13
-25 million on January 26
-30 million on February 9
-35 million on March 4

It's worth noting that the manga's 15th volume alone sold 1.5 million copies in its initial print run. This marks the first time any of the manga's volumes sold over 1 million copies in its initial print run. This volume was released on February 4th.

Author Gege Akutami launched the Jujutsu Kaisen manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018.
