Publisher Shueisha reported on Wednesday that author Gege Akutami Jujutsu Kaisen manga already has more than 40 million copies in circulation, including print and digital copies, as well as unsold copies.
The manga's circulation has increased 470% since the debut of its anime .
The manga had:
-8.5 million in early October
-10 million on October 29
-15 million on December 16
-20 million on January 13
-25 million on January 26
-30 million on February 9
-35 million on January 4 March
It is worth remembering that the 15th volume of the manga alone had 1.5 million copies in its initial print run. The first time any of the manga's volumes had more than 1 million copies in its initial print run. The volume in question was released on February 4th.
Author Gege Akutami launched the Jujutsu Kaisen manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018.
