An update from talented animator Maplestar delighted fans by announcing a sequel to his recent animation of Yuuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki from the "Jujutsu Kaisen" series. Known for creating animations aimed at an adult audience, the animator commented on the project's difficulties.

Jujutsu Kaisen Nobara Maplestar

Therefore, Maplestar said in his April 4th post that he already had a sequel planned for that animation when he made the first part. He adds:

  • The other projects are still gaining momentum, but I don't want to keep you waiting with the JJK project. I'll share some progress on the other projects next week!

While Maplestar's unique style has earned him a large fan base over the years, a large part of it is his commitment to keeping his designs faithful to those of the official anime. This is why many viewers are fooled into thinking they're watching an official production when watching the artist's videos.

Furthermore, the fact that Maplestar hires Japanese voice actors and actresses to voice the characters in its animations is something that is greatly appreciated by more traditional fans.

Synopsis of Jujutsu Kaisen:

We're introduced to Yuji Itadori, a high school student who's become involved with the secret sorcerer society called Jujutsu Kaisen. Itadori has dedicated himself to training against curses, evil beings that haunt the living world. This journey of training has led him to confront ever-increasing challenges, while preparing him for the dangers he and his companions will face.

Thus, Gege Akutami began serializing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. Finally, the first season of the anime had a total of twenty-four episodes and premiered in the Fall-2022 season (from October to December).
