Jujutsu Kaisen – Mechamaru is featured in the new art for the 2nd season of the anime

Jujutsu Kaisen anime made its grand return last week with its adaptation of the Shibuya Incident . Mechamaru had a strong performance in this episode, so he's featured prominently in the new artwork for the anime's second season.

The new artwork features Kokichi Muta in the background, as his more powerful version of Mechamaru unleashes its attack. After all, Muta used this weapon in the most recent episode of Jujutsu Kaisen to face Mahito .

Shortly after Muta was revealed to be the traitor, Mahito and Suguru Geto set out to eliminate him, as he was no longer useful. However, Muta was already prepared to face the villains after their pact ended. Then, after his body healed, he revealed his secret weapon: a giant Mechamaru that moves through his cursed energy.

Synopsis:

Ever since high school student Yuji Itadori became involved with the secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, he has been training to confront the curses, evil beings that haunt the living world. Therefore, to protect his friends and innocent people, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a student-in-training under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.

The anime's first season premiered in October 2020 and featured 24 episodes, animated by MAPPA . The studio also animated the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, set a few years before the main series and telling the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
