The official Jujutsu Kaisen profile released three new pieces of artwork from the anime, featuring Gojo alongside his classmates Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri . Additionally, Gojo and Geto also received standalone artwork with blue and gray color palettes. They will be the main characters in the first part of the second season, which will tell the story of Gojo and Geto during their student days at the jujutsu academy before they became mortal enemies.
Synopsis:
The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight curses—evil beings that haunt the living world. So, to protect his friends and the innocent, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a student-in-training under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.
The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and consisted of 24 episodes animated by studio MAPPA . The studio also handled the production of the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
