Satoru Gojo is considered by many fans to be the best character in Jujutsu Kaisen due to his immense charisma and power. However, unlike the fans, Gege often expresses unfavorable opinions of Gojo. After Gojo's Past arc concluded in the anime, Gege shared a special note about the animation for episode 5.
In his note, the mangaka expressed his enthusiasm for the anime's new art style and the direction of Shōta Goshozono and his team. However, Gege also makes a sarcastic comment about Gojo, referring to him as a "mob character." This term is used for secondary characters who don't play a significant role in the story. Although this note seems like a hateful insult, the mangaka was simply being sarcastic to show that he doesn't worship Gojo as much as his fans do.
Many even speculate that Gojo was absent for so long in the manga because his creator dislikes him. It's speculated that Gege dislikes Gojo because of his God Complex and because he's popular solely because he's powerful. Regardless of the reason, his comments emphasize that he's not a big fan of his most popular character.
