KRAFTON has released PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS update 36.2 on PC, marking the debut of a new collaboration with K-Pop group aespa. The patch, which arrives on consoles on July 17, includes themed content, improved vehicle camouflage, and significant changes to the clan system.
The game's new phase combines music and gameplay to offer fans an even more immersive experience. The company recommends checking out the full notes on the official website, which details all the changes and improvements implemented in this version.
aespa debuts in the PUBG universe with original visual content and music
For the first time, PUBG is collaborating with Aespa, one of the biggest names in K-Pop today. The partnership includes a series of visual elements inspired by the group, such as themed arenas in Miramar, custom supply packs, decorated planes, and an emote stage that appears on every 8v8 map.
Additionally, KRAFTON produced an original song exclusively for the campaign and will officially release it on July 15th, along with a music video and special in-game content. This collaboration expands immersion into the PUBG universe, connecting pop culture and the competitive battle royale environment.
Vehicle Camouflage Net receives technical improvements and increased map coverage
Introduced in Update 35.2, the Vehicle Camouflage Net has been improved in this new version. With increased durability and reduced weight, the item now becomes more functional for survival and ambush strategies.
In addition to the technical improvements, the camouflage net is now also available on the Rondo and Taego maps. This allows players to explore new tactical possibilities in more regions of the game, maintaining the element of surprise as a competitive differentiator.
Clan System Evolves with New Interface and Display Features
Another major new feature in update 36.2 is the revamped clan system. Players can now view a new weekly rankings page, allowing them to track team performance in real time.
Additionally, personalized nameplates have also been implemented. These appear during matches and help reinforce clan identity within the game. With this, KRAFTON focuses on enhancing the social and competitive aspects, encouraging the creation of more engaged communities.
