The ISEKAI universe will win new protagonists and authors! From July 7, 2025 , the MyanimeList x Honeyfeed Writing Contest 2025 takes place - The Iskai Exceed by Kadokawa , a worldwide contest that seeks to find the next big history of the genre.

The initiative is the result of the collaboration between Kadokawa Corporation Honeyfeed platform and the MyanimeList , which joined the strength to discover creative talents around the world. MF Books editor Satoshi explained Overlord , Re: Zero , Mushoku Tensei , Sword Art Online and Tate on Yuusha .
Aneko Yusagi participates as a special jury
The contest will feature Aneko Yusagi , author of The Rising of the Shield Hero , as a special jury. That is, the finalists will have a chance to receive direct feedback from one of the biggest names of the Isekai genre today. This represents a rare opportunity for writers who want to turn their ideas into Light Novels published in Japan.
Dates, awards and how to participate
The contest will be held on the Honeyfeed , with vote by the public through MyanimeList. See below the main dates:
- Registration period: July 7th to September 29, 2025
- JUDGES VOTE: September 30 to November 16
- Public vote (finals): November 17 to December 15
- Final Result: February 9, 2026
Among the awards, the Grand Prize will receive $ 5,000 , as well as the possibility of publication in Japan by Kadokawa. However, if no text reaches the publisher's standard, this award may not be assigned. The other winners will receive $ 3,000 each.
