Kagami no Kojou – Movie theme song revealed in new trailer

The official website for the film based on Mizuki Tsujimura 's novel , " Kagami no Kojou " ( Lonely Castle in the Mirror ), released a new trailer for it on Friday.

Therefore, the trailer reveals the film's theme song " Merry-Go-Round " by Yuuri , and also reveals new voice actors who will join the cast.

New voice actors include: Akiko Yajima, Karen Miyama, Ayaka Yoshimura, and Anji Ikehata.

Kagami no Kojou premieres in Japan on December 23.

Ami Touma will then be voicing the protagonist Kokoro, after auditioning for the role.

Keiichi Hara (Colorful, Miss Hokusai, The Wonderland) is directing the film for A-1 Pictures . Miho Maruo, who wrote the screenplay for the films Miss Hokusai and The Wonderland, is writing the script. Keigo Sasaki (Blue Exorcist, ERASED, The Seven Deadly Sins) is designing the characters and is also the chief animation director. Russian artist Ilya Kuvshinov, who designed the character designs for The Wonderland, is credited for the visual concept and castle design. Shochiku is distributing the film.

Synopsis

The story follows Kokoro, a young woman who dropped out of school and isolated herself in her room after experiencing a traumatic event and developing anxiety attacks. One day, she notices a glint in her mirror and, upon touching it, finds herself in a fantasy world where a girl in a wolf mask lives.

Mizuki Tsujimura released the novel in Japan in 2017. It won the 2018 Japan Booksellers' Award, topped Da Vinci magazine's 2017 Book of the Year list, and ultimately won the grand prize at the 2017 King's Brunch Book Prize.
