Recap: What happened in chapter 74

The previous chapter deepened the conflict between the central characters following Kunishige Rokuhira's death. The narrative begins with Samura being contacted by the Kamunabi organization, who informs him of Kunishige's murder and the theft of all the enchanted swords—putting the hired wielders of these weapons at risk.

Soon after, Samura is surprised by an unexpected visitor. Yura, an old acquaintance and member of the Hishaku organization, appears before him, claiming responsibility for the crime. During the conversation, Yura argues that the Sacred Swordsman remains the greatest threat in existence, and thus proposes an alliance with Samura to eliminate him once and for all.

Meanwhile, Iori reminisces about the moments he shared with his father while trying to deal with his conflicting feelings. Chihiro, meanwhile, decides to wield Enten once more, even though she's aware of the risk it poses, with the goal of allowing Iori to reunite with Samura.

The final scene shows the sky darkening before revealing Samura descending with his sword, Tobiume, ready for battle.

What to expect from Kagurabachi Chapter 75

Everything indicates that the new chapter will feature a direct confrontation between Chihiro Rokuhira, Hiruhiko, and Samura, all three wielding enchanted swords with powers not yet fully revealed. Thus, the battle promises to be one of the most important in the series so far, with special emphasis on the possible revelation of the abilities of the Kumeyuri sword, wielded by Hiruhiko.

Beyond the action, the reunion between Samura and Iori could carry significant emotional weight. Even after recovering part of his memory, Samura continues his mission to eliminate the wielders of the enchanted swords—which could put him in direct conflict with his own daughter. However, it remains to be seen whether family ties will be stronger than the mission.

Furthermore, another point of interest is the symbolism of the spiritual flowers left by Shinuchi, which continue to bloom even after the war ends. This may indicate that the threat of the Sacred Swordsman is far from over.
