All's fair when love is war!
Two geniuses. Two brains. Two hearts. One battle. Who will confess their love first…?!
Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who top the student council at their prestigious academy, making them the elite among the elite. But it's lonely at the top, and each has fallen for the other. There's just one major problem standing in the way of romantic bliss: they're both too proud to be the first to confess their romantic feelings, thus becoming "losers" in the love competition! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!

Kaguya-sama: Love is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) had its anime adaptation last winter season and the animation was handed over to the studio A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Magi). The direction is by Mamoru Hatakeyama (Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū, Record of Grancrest War, Sankarea: Undying Love), the story is by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Shiawase Restaurant, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 4: Loss) and the character design is by Yuuko Yahiro (Diabolik Lovers, Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko).

The manga began publication in May 2015 in Miracle Jump magazine, but in March 2016, the work began publishing in Young Jump magazine. It also inspired an anime adaptation, which premiered on January 12th and aired 12 episodes.
