The official website for the anime Kaiju No. 8 has released a new teaser trailer, promotional art, and important details about the studio behind the animation. The premiere is confirmed for 2024.
IG Production ( Ghost in the Shell) is handling the animation, while Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion) is in charge of the designs and general art.
Synopsis
Japan is the place with the highest monster occurrence rate in the world, suffering invasions every day. In the past, Kafka Hibino aspired to join the Japanese Defense Forces, but now he works for a company specializing in cleaning up the remains of battles with monsters. One day, the boy's body is transformed by a mysterious creature and he is given the codename "Kaiju No. 8" by the Japanese Defense Forces, the organization responsible for subduing the monsters!
Naoya Matsumoto launched the manga in July 2020 on the Shonen Jump+ , published by Shueisha .
